WHITETAIL HUNT

We offer our clients an incredible opportunity to hunt our private 3,000 acres of pristine Central New York hill country. Our overnight guests enjoy luxury accommodations and all the amenities Turning Stone Resort Casino has to offer. Our hunts are two-day excursions during which time our guides will assist in tracking, recovery and extraction of your deer. If you are successful on the first day of your hunt you may have the option to hunt a doe or purchase another buck, subject to availability. We never overbook our clients. It is very important to us that our hunters be successful. We only book a select number of hunters to ensure a higher percent of success.

HUNTING SEASON DATES

Our hunting season is open from October 1 through December 23 to Bow, Rifle, Shotgun and Crossbow. Ages 15-18 are to be accompanied by an adult.

ARRIVAL, CHECK-IN + SKILLS ASSESSMENT

Please arrive no later than 2pm on the day prior to your scheduled hunt to Turning Stone Resort Casino where you will be greeted by the guide. He will escort you to The Preserve for weapons sighting, safety training and skills assessment. The skills assessment allows the guide to determine how to structure the hunt and the appropriate shooting ranges for the hunt itself. Oneida Nation Outfitters will have weapons available to rent for guests who may not have their weapon with them. Your weapons and ammunition will be stored overnight in our secure gun safe. After the skills assessment, the guide will transport you back to Turning Stone.

WHAT TO EXPECT

At 5am on mornings of the hunt your transportation will take you from your lodging choice to The Preserve. Please enjoy breakfast at Emerald Restaurant before leaving. Emerald is open 24-hours for your convenience. A guide will escort you to your hunting location. The guide will lead the tracking of the desired class of deer and will confirm that the deer falls into the class for which you are committed. Tree stands are positioned throughout The Preserve to provide an elevated vantage point. You will return to the Hunter's Cabin for lunch and then your guide will lead you back out to your hunting location.

Your guide will assist in harvesting, tracking, recovery and field-dressing your harvest. Oneida Nation Outfitters will coordinate taxidermy if requested for an additional fee.
